From April 18 to April 20 of this year, I had the pleasure of joining an unbelievable group of experienced hikers in their annual expedition to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. I can only describe what I experienced as "the most physically-challenging, rewarding and educational thing I have ever done." At once it was painful and strenuous, exhilarating and liberating, draining, and inspiring. The majority of us packed in our digital cameras, so hardly a moment went undocumented.
